Hellion Gallery (Matt Wagner) and Breeze Block will be hosting a mural painting with Blaine Fontana and OGI from Tokyo at the Jupiter Hotel Aug. 23-24-25. Go hang out while those guys kill it on the cube and then go to Live & Direct this Friday the 3rd to see them paint some more!

Mhak (Japan) and Zach Johnsen (US) just opened a killer show at Compound Gallery last week. To commemorate their awesome collaboration, they just completed an amazing mural at the Jupiter Hotel.

Please join us next Wednesday for the official unveiling of their work at the hotel. Mhak leaves for Japan shortly and we want to give him a great send off as well!

DJ Nature will be spinning on top of the cube and beverages will be flowing.

We are once again partnering up with the Artist Mentorship Program to help raise money for their Summer Scholarship Fund. AMP supports at-risk youth by providing art and music opportunities. We believe in access to art and music for all!

Last year was a rockin’ party and we raised $5,000 to send youth to summer art and music classes. This year we are teaming up with 6 tattoo shops in town to deliver two unforgettable events:

Saturday night will be an art show and celebration in thanks to the following day, Sunday the 11th, where proceeds from tattoos at those shops will be donated to AMP.

Thank you to everyone who made it to the 3rd Annual 100 Bones Show at Ecdysiast last Friday! Wow, what an awesome turn out, amazing art, great sales, awesome music by DJ WU. The 3rd Annual 100 Bones Show has been officially scheduled for Fri. Feb. 19th, 6-10pm. As our first pop-up show, this month’s location will be at Ecdysiast, a pole-dance studio located under the Hawthorne Bridge at SE Madison and Grand. The space is gorgeous and if you’re lucky you might catch a glimpse of some PG pole action.

All works will be $100 or less – a large group show of Breeze Block family artists. Mark your calendar!

As we transition away from our old location and into 2010, we’re gearing up for our winter and spring Pop-Up Shows. In February, we will showcase the 3rd Annual 100 Bones Show, which features BB family artists with new works all priced under $100. The location will be announced next month, and it’s very ‘interesting’ so stay tuned! Into the spring we will begin our more intimate Supper Shows so keep an eye for a goold old fashioned invitation in your mailbox.
